Inspired by traditional Asian paper and stone lanterns, the Tang Lung is our modern take on the Asian classic design that provides a soft warm cosy illumination, whilst creating a bold modern lasting form. With the warm glow of light cast through its translucent 3D printed wall, the Tang Lung would fit with any home interior design style from Mid Century Modern and Modern Eclectic to Minimalist and Farmhouse.

We use 3D printing manufacturing techniques. So, each product will have minor variations in color and texture, making each item truly unique!

Estimated production time is 1-2 weeks. We will start shipping after production of each lamp is complete. Each lamp is made-to-order (made after we receive the order) in our design studio in JB, Malaysia.

Design

Taking its name from the Cantonese word "Dang Lung" and the Malay word "Tang Lung" for lantern, the geometric shape was inspired by a combination of the various lanterns made from paper that can be found all across Asia. The tripod base shape is influenced by the Japanese stone lantern Ishi-Doro design, lending an element of zen calmness to the lamp that will help melt the stresses and anxieties of everyday life.

The vertical fluted wall creates a tactile and textural quality to the lamp. When lit, the combination of shapes and textures will be guaranteed to mesmerise as it achieves an ethereal light diffusion quality. The Tang Lung effortlessly brings warmth and zen to any space, while the element of modernity in its design brings the perfect harmony of sophistication and timelessness into your home.

Materials & Care

Shade and base are made from PLA. The lamp also comes with a sturdy cord made with durable premium fabric textile and an EU plug head.

Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. For any stubborn marks, dab a cloth in a little soap and wipe thoroughly. For obvious reasons, please make sure your beautiful lamp is unplugged while you do this!
