The Kueh Lamp brings the charm of the beautiful desserts and cakes found in the Malay Peninsula and Indonesian Isles into your living space in lamp form. Available in 3 unique colours - Seri Muka (Pastel Mint), Lapis (Pastel Pink) and Talam Ubi (Pastel Beige), the Kueh Lamp is our whimsical take on the traditional lamp silhouette. The elegant pleated shade and column diffuses the warm glow in a dreamy manner, creating a layered gradient from top to bottom, reminiscent of our colourful layered kuehs!

We use 3D printing manufacturing techniques. So, each product will have minor variations in color and texture, making each item truly unique!

Estimated production time is 1-2 weeks. We will start shipping after production of each lamp is complete. Each lamp is made-to-order (made after we receive the order) in our design studio in JB, Malaysia.

Design

Born out of a desire to come up with a more playful take on the classic lamp silhouette, the Kueh Lamp uses cutting edge printing technology to achieve a delicate pleated lamp shade design. Where traditionally such lamps would position the light source in the lamp shade, we opted for a more unique position, placing the light source at the base of the lamp’s column. This is only achievable through our use of carefully fine tuned print settings that would usually be impossible for traditional manufacturing techniques.

Printed in a corrugated zig zag shape, the pleated lamp shade achieves the delicate origami paper look without the fragility associated with paper based lamp shades. The warm glow interacts with the pastel colours to bring a beautiful ambience in your home.

Materials & Care

Shade and base are made from PLA. The lamp also comes with a sturdy cord made with durable premium fabric textile and an EU plug head.

Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. For any stubborn marks, dab a cloth in a little soap and wipe thoroughly. For obvious reasons, please make sure your beautiful lamp is unplugged while you do this!
