Meet Ikat Tepi – our cheeky little ode to Malaysia’s most iconic way to tapau drinks. Inspired by the unmistakable silhouette of a plastic bag knotted at one corner with a straw peeking through, this portable lamp captures a memory every Malaysian holds dear – that sweet sip of Milo ais or teh-o-ais-limau on a scorching afternoon, swinging gently from a pink string on the walk home.

Lightweight, portable, and utterly delightful, the Ikat Tepi lamp is designed to hang or perch wherever you need a pocket of warm light. Its fluid, crinkled form mimics the soft folds of a drink bag swaying in your hand, while the knotted top — recreated in a playful loop — doubles as a handle or hook for easy carrying — a charming nod to the real deal.

3D printed using our signature single-wall technique and using translucent material, the Ikat Tepi lamp casts a soft, diffused glow that feels just like the comfort of home in a cup. It’s more than a lamp. It’s an everyday moment turned design object.

Perfect for: bedside vibes, balcony chats, cozying up on a camping trip or bringing a bit of mamak magic into your space.

We use 3D printing manufacturing techniques. So, each product will have minor variations in color and texture, making each item truly unique!

Its asymmetrical form mimics the natural slouch of a filled plastic bag at rest, creating visual intrigue from every angle. Ribbed folds run along the body of the lamp — not only evoking the soft crinkles of its muse but also enhancing structural strength and allowing light to refract beautifully through its delicate walls.

Replacing the traditional pink "tali rafia" string is a sturdy nylon cord, giving the lamp a contemporary finish while ensuring reliable portability. The top knot serves as both a design feature and an ergonomic handle, allowing it to be hung or carried with ease.

Comes with a twist-lock base that pops right out when it’s time for a quick recharge — no fuss, just twist and pop out.

Wipe clean with a soft, damp cloth. For any stubborn marks, dab a cloth in a little soap and wipe thoroughly. For obvious reasons, please make sure your beautiful lamp is unplugged while you do this!
